Academic Focus: Artificial Intelligence for Learning

Inspired by the work of Donald Clark

Donald Clark, a global expert on learning and AI for Learning has inspired me to take a deeper dive into AI for Learning. I continue to value his writing, commentary and insights on learning. A true inspiration.

GPT4V just blows the mind. AI is the gift that keeps on giving. Astounding functionality as this review shows. Can see integration with VR, glasses as AI becomes part of our extended mind

The rapid developments in generative artificial intelligence tools are raising many questions for educators. While we expect things to keep changing fast, TRU’s Learning Technology and Innovation team and the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching are working together to stay on top of developments and share emerging best practices with our community. We will continue updating this resource with support materials, so please check back frequently.

Blog from Daisy Christodolou. AI and marking.
I find Daisy extremeley frustrating. Despite me liking a lot of her work and often adding very positive comments about her online postings I never get any engagement back from her.
Interestingly psychologically on this and SM - one starts to engage less with those more prominent figures who never respond and it shapes personal opinions of their work. Which is a shame because she is a cricket, West Ham fan and a really interesting figure in education and learning.
