Academic Focus: Network Improvement Communities of Learning

How do communities form and sustain to improve learning?

Networks form in a multiplicity of ways. They can be small, medium or large and informal or informal. They may be defined by a clear purpose or develop more organically. They may not even see themselves as an official Network Improvement Community. In fact, that may be even better. I am fascinated by such networks and believe that they do hold the key to sustained improvement in learning. Let us see!

An example of Teacherhead's writing around building CPD. A great example of an anchor-model that can be used to develop NIC learning.

Bear with me on this - but I have been thinking about F' crew teams and effectiveness of teams in education for a while now - this article acts as an anchor example of my emerging thinking on this.
